Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export eggs to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Eggs exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificates GBHC075X and GBHC420

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC075X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC420 from 30 April 2024.

EU countries must use GBHC420 from 31 January 2024.

Certificates GBHC076X and GBHC421

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC076X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC421 from 30 April 2024.

EU countries must use certificate GBHC421 from 31 January 2024.

  1. We have updated certificates GBHC420 and GBHX421. We have also updated the ‘use from’ date for certificates GBHC420 and GBHX421. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024. Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

  2. We have replaced all EU certificates ending in E with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.

  3. Certificates GBHC075E and GBHC076E should be used from 31 December 2023.

  4. Multiple changes have been made: 1. Amended box 1.2.a in certificates GBHC075E and GBHC076E. A unique notification number (UNN) needs to be included in this box. 2. Amended the version history notes for certificates GBHC075X, GBHC075E, GBHC076X and GBHC076E. The previous version of each certificate will continue to be accepted until 1 April 2023.

  6. We’ve updated certificates GBHC075X and GBHC076X.

  7. The following certificates will come into use on 1 November 2022: 798/2008 GBHC075E and 798/2008 GBHC076E.

  8. Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.

  9. Changed the date that some of the forms should be used to 1 July 2022.

  10. Edited the dates for all health certificates that were previously to be used by 1 April 2021. The following certificates will now come into use from 1 October 2021: UK-HC-075-E, UK-HC-076-E
