Details

This document is for those who have responsibility for managing the school or college estate.

It sets out how we can achieve the vision for an education estate that supports opportunity for all, from early years to post-16, backed by a 10-year plan of national renewal.

At its core is a shift to more proactive management, long-term strategic maintenance and renewal. This prioritises condition need, risk and resilience alongside delivering high-quality new buildings where they are needed.

We will continue to ensure places for learners from early years to post-16 and go further in aligning place creation with our ambitions, including on special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and skills.
