DY5 3AG: Environmental permit application advertisement

The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 from Clean Power (UK) Limited.

  • Application number: EPR/NP3235EE/A001
  • Regulated facility type: 5.1A(1)(b) The incineration of non-hazardous waste in a waste incineration plant or waste co-incineration plant with a capacity exceeding 3 tonnes per hour and 5.4A(1)(b)(i) Recovery or a mix of recovery and disposal of non-hazardous waste with a capacity exceeding 75 tonnes per day (or 100 tonnes per day if the only waste treatment activity is anaerobic digestion), involving biological treatment.
  • Regulated facility location: Brierley Hill Steel Terminal, Moor Street, Brierley Hill, Dudley, DY5 3AG

  • the materials, substances and energy it will use and generate
  • the conditions of its site
  • the source, nature and quantity of its foreseeable emissions and their significant effects on the environment
  • the proposed techniques for preventing, reducing, and monitoring its emissions and preventing and recovering waste
  • and an outline of the main alternatives, if any, considered

You can view the Environment Agency’s public register in Lichfield from 9.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Please call 03708 506 506 to arrange an appointment. If you require paper copies of the permit application, the Environment Agency may charge to cover copying costs.

You can also view the application at Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council. Reception is open from 8.45am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Appointments are not required.

Copies of this application are also available on CD at the above locations, subject to availability.

Normally the Environment Agency must put any comments they receive on the public register. Tell the Environment Agency if you don’t want your comments to be public.

The Environment Agency must decide whether to grant or refuse the application. If they grant it, they must decide what conditions to include in the permit.
