Details of the application
The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Personnel Hygiene Services Ltd.

Regulated facility type
New application for a new bespoke permit for a clinical waste transfer station for processing hygiene and healthcare wastes. The site will principally operate as a hub allowing us to transfer offensive waste from small 15-16 tonne mobile soft compaction vehicles (SCV) to a large 44 tonne SCV for onward transport to a waste processing facility in Oxford who will convert the waste to energy via incineration. The waste codes to be transferred are 20 01 99 and 18 01 04. The total storage capacity is 55m3, and the annual throughput is 17,325 tonnes.
