This document contains draft guidance on how to meet the requirements of the Welfare of Wild Animals in Travelling Circuses (England) Regulations 2012 (“the Regulations”). The guidance supplements, but is not a substitute for, the Regulations. The Regulations set out all the definitions, regulations and licensing conditions that apply.
The guidance is intended to help the operator of a travelling circus that has wild animals, or any other interested party, understand the action that should be taken to comply with licensing conditions.
Final guidance will be published before the regulations come into force.
