The UK Government remains committed to building Britain’s prosperity by increasing exports and investment, opening markets, ensuring access to resources, and promoting sustainable global growth. Trade and investment are absolutely fundamental for our economy.

The UK has a strong history as a trading and investing nation and continues to be one of the world’s most attractive places to do business, but the world is changing and we cannot be complacent. Encouraging businesses to export more is at the very heart of our approach. We need to ensure that businesses, especially our small businesses, have all the tools they need to flourish, that we strengthen and our relationship with trade partners around the world, including Zimbabwe, that we fight protectionism and ensure poorer countries can benefit fully from free and fair trade.

The British Embassy in Harare recently launched the “Zimbabwe Commercial Paper” – a guide on doing business in Zimbabwe. We hope this publication proves to be a useful commercial and reference aid for British businesses in Zimbabwe as well as being a tool to further the British and Zimbabwean governments’ common objectives on trade and Investment.
