The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Cawingredients Limited.

This variation is to an existing drinks manufacturing facility to include a new production line which consists of the manufacture of canned soft drinks, which will increase the production capacity by 960 tonnes per day. The proposal will increase the processed material volumes and finished goods. The application also seeks for the replacement of a boiler (1) which will increase the thermal input capacity from 5.56 MWth to 9.17 MWth. Finally, the proposal includes the installation of an additional Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant for the treatment of waste-water for re-use.
