This direction has now closed. A revised direction issued in February 2022 replaces it.
This direction requires the council to co-operate with a commissioner appointed by the Secretary of State for Education.
It follows Ofsted’s monitoring visit report published on 4 June 2021 that reported on the slow pace of change in improving the quality of core social work practice.
The direction replaces an earlier improve notice issued to Bradford Council on 4 December 2018.
