This direction has closed. A direction issued on 25 November 2016 replaces it.

This direction confirms Andrew Christie as the new Children’s Social Care Commissioner for Birmingham. He replaces the previous commissioner, Lord Warner, who stood down from the role earlier in 2015.

Previous directions and improvement notices following Ofsted inspections that rated arrangements for the protection of children ‘inadequate’ include:
