In September 2017, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) published its final report following its market study into digital comparison tools (DCTs).

The summary of the final report sets out:

  • the benefits of DCTs for consumers
  • ground rules for how DCTs should behave
  • next steps for the CMA, companies, government and regulators to help make DCTs better
