Details
Staff that perform a clinical role within a local diabetic eye screening (DES) service must be:
- appropriately trained
- assessed for competence
- reviewed regularly
Slit lamp examiners (SLEs) should:
- receive continuous feedback on their decisions
- attend multidisciplinary team meetings
