The Department for Education introduced a new system for collecting SCS declarations of outside interests in April 2023.
As part of that process, no senior civil servants (SCS) in the Department for Education declared any paid outside employment.
This summarises the position at the point of the data collection and does not cover the full financial year retrospectively. In the future, DfE’s process, in line with Cabinet Office guidance, will allow for declarations covering the full financial year period.
