Details

This guidance sets out the details and requirements for declaring outside interests in the Civil Service.

It provides:

  • a consistent approach to understanding relevant outside interests and what might present a conflict
  • guidance intended to support departments with the development of their own policies
  • a minimum set of information that must be captured when members of the Senior Civil Service (SCS) declare relevant outside interests
  • the points at which a declaration is required, including prior to appointment to the Civil Service, when moving to a new role, and on an annual basis
