Guidance on the detection and management of outliers


This guidance explains the expectations required of national clinical audit providers and healthcare provider organisations in relation to the identification of outliers by national clinical audits. The guidance also sets out for NHS provider organisations the actions they need to take if audit data indicates that their results are out of line compared to other providers.
