Details

This document outlines the UK’s candidacy for re-election to the ITU Council in 2026.

The election will take place at the ITU’s Plenipotentiary Conference which is set to convene between 9 and 27 November 2026. The UK has been a member of the ITU since 1871 and will continue to support the ITU’s tradition of consensus-based solutions to global challenges.

ITU will hold its next Plenipotentiary Conference, PP-26, in Doha, Qatar, as agreed by Member States today at PP-22 in Bucharest, Romania.
