Details

The Traffic Commissioner for North West England decided:

  • the operator’s repute is not lost.

  • the operator’s licence is curtailed from 30 vehicles and 8 trailers to 28 vehicles and 8 trailers for a period of 10 weeks. The direction will take effect at 23.45 hours on a date of the operator’s choosing before 30 June 2022 and conclude 10 weeks later at the same time. Vehicles removed not to be used on any other operator’s licence.

  • a formal warning is also recorded.

  • statements of intent are recorded as follows:
    • the operator will contract for the services of Jake Lane, Transport Consultant one day per week until at least 1 December 2022. Both he and the operator will notify my office of this arrangement if this ceases before that date.
    • the operator will apply for Ben Spence to be nominated as TM on the licence, in addition to Adam Ashurst, as soon as possible.
  • the application to vary the operator’s licence is granted in part only. The licence will take effect as authorising 35 vehicles and 9 trailers, but only once the curtailment referred to above concludes.

  • the repute of Richard Brownhill is recorded as forfeit, and he is disqualified from acting as a TM in any traffic area indefinitely.
