Decision

  1. The standard national public service vehicle operator licence PD2012499 held by Homers Travel Ltd is revoked with effect from 0001 hours on 23 July 2022, pursuant to Section 17(1)(a) and (b) and 17(3)(a), (aa) and (c) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981 (“the 1981 Act”).

  2. Homers Travel Ltd and its director Robert Gibson are hereby disqualified under Section 28 of the Transport Act 1985 from holding or obtaining an operator’s licence, and (in Mr Gibson’s case) from being the director of any company holding or obtaining such a licence. The disqualification is for a period of 12 months, from 23 July 2022 until 23 July 2023.

  3. Robert Gibson has lost his good repute as transport manager, pursuant to paragraph 1 of Schedule 3 to the 1981 Act. He must accordingly be disqualified from being the transport manager on any operator licence. The disqualification is for a period of 12 months, from 23 July 2022 until 23 July 2023.
