Detail

Code of practice for registered persons and other recipients of disclosure information through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checking service.

Please note: Although the code of practice document , which is published under section 122(2) of the Police Act 1997, has not been rebranded with the DBS logo or new terminology, organisations who receive certificate information from the DBS should still comply with the obligations set out in the document.

There are some minor terminology inconsistencies in the glossary which  is now outdated due to the introduction of the Protection Of Freedoms Act 2012. Please see the latest DBS glossary for the most up to date descriptions of terms.

Nodwch os gwelwch yn dda-Er nad yw dogfen y Côd Ymarfer, a gyhoeddir o dan rhan 122(2) o Ddeddf yr Heddlu 1997, wedi ei hailfrandio gyda logo neu derminoleg newydd y Gwasanaeth Datgelu a Gwahardd (DBS), dylai sefydliadau sy’n cael gwybodaeth dystysgrifol gan y Gwasanaeth Datgelu a Gwahardd (DBS) barhau i gydymffurfio â’r goblygiadau a osodir yn y ddogfen.

Mae rhai mân anghysondebau terminoleg yn yr eirfa sydd bellach wedi dyddio o ganlyniad dyfodiad Deddf Amddiffyn Rhyddid 2012. Edrychwch ar Eirfa ddiweddaraf Gwasanaeth Datgelu a Gwahardd (DBS) ar gyfer y disgrifiadau termau mwyaf cyfredol.
