The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Whitstable Metals Limited.

The applicant intends to open a site for the storage of hazardous wastes. The site will be accepting and storing catalytic converters, the amount stored will not exceed 3t. The waste will be brought onto site after being collected by a company vehicle and then inspected by staff. The waste will be stored in a small enclosed unit, within a concrete fire bay. Wastes will be kept on the site for less than three months.
