The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) commissioned IFF Research to quantify the financial and time costs that businesses incur in order to comply with regulations enforced by OPSS. The study surveyed 604 UK manufacturing businesses across all sectors known to produce consumer goods.

Findings are weighted to represent approximately 170,000 regulated businesses. The report aims to provide evidence-based insights to inform proportionate policy, and support businesses in maintaining compliance efficiently while safeguarding product safety.
