Details
The Secretary of State for Education and the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government write jointly to Northamptonshire county council and to the Lead Commissioner for Northamptonshire explaining that they are minded to appoint a children’s services commissioner.
This is in response to a letter from the Lead Commissioner for Northamptonshire from 2 November 2018 requesting additional capacity on children’s services for the Commissioner team.
This follows publication on 13 November 2018 of a letter from Ofsted, which found that services for children had significantly deteriorated since inspection.
