Details

Budget Notice and accompanying note

The Budget Notice sets out the parameters that apply to CfD Allocation Round 6. The budget available in the AR6 auction will be:

  • £120 million for Pot 1 (established technologies)
  • £105 million for Pot 2 (emerging technologies), inclusive of a minimum ringfence of £10 million for Tidal Stream projects
  • £800 million for Pot 3 (offshore wind)

This results in a total budget of £1,025 million.

  • Pot 1 delivery years are 2026 to 2027 and 2027 to 2028
  • Pot 2 delivery years are 2027 to 2028 and 2028 to 2029
  • Pot 3 delivery years are 2027 to 2028 and 2028 to 2029

Allocation Round Notice

The Allocation Round Notice confirms the key dates for CfD Allocation Round 6, including a commencement date for the round of 27 March 2024, a closing date for applications of 19 April 2024 and the delivery years which apply to the round.

Framework Notice

This notice states which Allocation Framework is applicable to CfD Allocation Round 6.

Standard Terms Notice

This notice sets out certain information that must be used by LCCC to complete the appropriate Standard Terms (CfD contract), which is individualised for each successful project in CfD Allocation Round 6.

Counterparty Costs Notice

CfD applicants may apply to the CfD Counterparty (LCCC) to request ‘minor and necessary’ modifications to the CfD contract. This notice sets out the threshold above which the costs likely to be incurred by LCCC as a result of the modification would not be considered ‘minor’. We have set this threshold at £20,000 for CfD Allocation Round 6.
