The Interministerial Group (IMG) for Safety, Security and Migration met via videoconference on Wednesday 12 November 2025.
The meeting was chaired by the Home Office Lords Minister, the Rt Hon Lord Hanson of Flint.
The Ministers in attendance were:
- From the Welsh Government: Jane Hutt CBE MS, Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice, Trefnydd and Chief Whip.
- From the Scottish Government: Angela Constance MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Home Affairs.
- From the Northern Ireland Executive: Aisling Reilly MLA, Executive Office Junior Minister, Joanne Bunting MLA, Executive Office Junior Minister, and Naomi Long MLA, Justice Minister.
In the IMG, Ministers engaged in a dialogue across public safety matters in the UK, including UK-wide public safety priorities and public order.
All Ministers agreed the importance of continuing to work closely together on these areas to ensure successful delivery for citizens across the whole of the UK.
A date for the next meeting of the Home Office IMG is to be agreed across the four governments.
