The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from European Metal Recycling Limited.

Regulated facility type

Existing waste operation comprising of mixed metals recycling facility, End of Life Vehicle depollution and dismantling facility, and Household/Commercial/ Industrial facility is applying to add a Water Discharge Activity (WDA) to allow site surface run-off to be discharged to a brook via an interceptor. The proposed acceptance of new waste types similar to those already accepted do not form part of this consultation.
