Details
The briefing calls for charities to protect themselves against fraud and financial crime. This response sets out a new strategy by the commission which aims to prevent any problems starting in the first place by reducing the risk of fraud.
To protect against fraud, a charity can:
- make sure it has a strong governance structure
- develop robust internal financial controls
- implement risk assessment and management policies
