The briefing calls for charities to protect themselves against fraud and financial crime. This response sets out a new strategy by the commission which aims to prevent any problems starting in the first place by reducing the risk of fraud.

  • make sure it has a strong governance structure
  • develop robust internal financial controls
  • implement risk assessment and management policies
