The research, on behalf of the commission shows the relationship between charities, their beneficiaries and the public.The majority of those surveyed felt comfortable using the services of a charity. But over a quarter said they feel embarrassed getting help from a charity.
Many charities also face difficulties in delivering their services, including:
- the demand for their services is greater than what they can deliver
- the difficulty in securing funding for new projects
