This document sets out our decision to change the accreditation end dates for legacy GCSEs (graded A* to G) which will still be available for first teaching in September 2016 and 2017.

It updates the provisional decisions we made when we published our accreditation criterion in November 2014. We noted at the time that we would need to change these dates when we knew which subjects would still be available for first teaching from September 2016.

Following this decision, the accreditation end dates for GCSEs (graded A* to G) are as set out in the table below. The accreditation end date is the deadline for the last main award - where re-sits are required or made available, they will take place after this date.
