The EQA steering group approved the following changes to the 13th edition of the NHS cervical screening programme (NHS CSP) gynaecological cytopathology EQA scheme.
References to ‘NQAAP’ have been revised throughout to state ‘NQAAP (or equivalent)’.
1. Chapter 4 Laboratory participation
Includes a statement that explicitly excludes the participation of laboratories not reporting cytology
2. Chapter 14 Complaints
Revised to state that responses are issued by the ‘cervical screening clinical lead’
