During the current coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, use this form if you are a practicing conveyancer, for example a solicitor, and you are verifying the identity of someone who has completed form ID1 or ID2 via video meeting.

  1. Form ID1 has been amended as we have agreed with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) that CLC-regulated licensed probate practitioners can verify identity even though they may not be conveyancers or solicitors.

  2. Panel 7 has been amended to correct an incorrect panel cross-reference.

  3. We have amended the form as we have decided to continue with the practice we introduced in May 2020 as a result of coronavirus (COVID-19).

  4. We have clarified that, where verification is made by way of a video call, the required screenshot must be in colour.
