Celanese Production UK Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application (in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Derbyshire Derwent catchment.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:
- at an instantaneous rate of 1948 litres per second
- 7,015 cubic metres an hour
- 168,350 cubic metres a day
- 54,488,080 cubic metres a year
- between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.
- at National Grid References (NGR) SK 39468 34198 and SK 39452 34225 .
The water will be used for Managed wetland system.
