The FOCUSS project built upon on post-combustion capture technology that is already highly advanced, so was able to progress rapidly from conceptual engineering predictions to de-risked technology and identify new solutions that have the potential to give the UK a global lead in demonstrating how CCS can be deployed to help deliver UK decarbonisation targets.
