Details
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) invites applications from carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) projects seeking to connect to the East Coast Cluster (ECC) Teesside network by 2032.
DESNZ will assess applications through the ECC Teesside Selection Process to identify projects that could connect to the network and make use of remaining capacity at the Endurance offshore site.
Key dates
- engagement session: week commencing 2 March 2026
- expression of interest deadline: 11.59pm on 10 March 2026
- application window closes: 11.59pm on 10 April 2026
How to apply
You must submit a completed expression of interest (EOI) form by 11.59pm on 10 March 2026. Send your EOI form to ECCTeessideSelection@energysecurity.gov.uk.
If you submit an EOI by the deadline, DESNZ will provide you with access to the online submission portal.
Engagement session
DESNZ will host one engagement session for potential applicants in week commencing 2 March 2026. The session will explain:
- the selection process
- the eligibility and assessment criteria
- how to complete the application forms
This will be the only engagement event during the application window. Timings and location details will be published in due course.
Submit questions before the session
To help us focus on areas of greatest interest, submit questions in advance using Microsoft Forms link.
We will aim to respond to as many questions as possible during the session and/or through follow‑up materials.

What you need to submit
Once you have access, you will need to submit the following forms via the online submission portal by 11.59pm on 10 April 2026:
- annex A: project plan forms (Power, ICC and Waste, Hydrogen, GGR, Power BECCS)
- annex B: initial cost information forms
- annex C: financial statement
- annex D1: economic benefits form
- annex D2: supply chain map
