Details of the application

The Environment Agency has received a new bespoke application for an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Peterborough and Cambridge Business Development Company Limited.

Bespoke installation for the production of organic chemicals.

Listed activities: • Section 4.1 A(1)(a)(ii) Producing organic compounds containing oxygen (fluoro esters, aromatic esters and vinyl esters) • Section 4.1 A(1)(a)(iv) Producing organic compounds containing nitrogen (amides and amines) • Section 4.1 A(1)(a)(vii) Producing organometallic compounds (in-situ production and consumption of Grignard reagents in production of silicone ethers and alkoxysilane)

And operation of directly associated activities: • Storage and handling of wastes • Operation of emissions abatement systems (condensers, caustic scrubber and activated carbon adsorption) • Purification of products by liquid solid absorption • Operation of electrically powered utilities: process heating; process vacuum; compressed air; and, gaseous nitrogen supply • Surface water management.
