Notice is hereby given that:

In pursuance of section 19(1) of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and section 35(1) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, Natural England has, by the Cassop National Nature Reserve No.02 Declaration made on the 8th day of February 2021, declared that the land referred to therein is no longer a National Nature Reserve.

The land having a total area of 17.86 hectares or thereabouts, situated in the Parish of Cassop-cum-Quarrington in the Unitary Authority of County Durham and shown cross hatched and unshaded on the maps attached to the said Declaration, has ceased to be managed as a nature reserve by Natural England.

The land having a total area of 6.84 hectares or thereabouts remains declared and will henceforth be known as Cassop National Nature Reserve.
