This exception notice comes into effect on 2 July 2015 and remains valid until 31 December 2018 unless otherwise revoked.
The provision concerns the construction and transport of quick release valve assemblies used in fire protection systems.
Background to dangerous goods exception notices
Under the carriage regulations, the competent authority (the Department for Transport) can make various provisions to the dangerous goods regulations, including recognising certain standards. These miscellaneous provisions are made through an exception notice.
