In February 2014 the Public Health England (PHE) and NHS England medical directors wrote to NHS Trust executives and heads of nursing and of infection control to highlight the risk of these resistant bacteria.
In June 2014 the carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae toolkit working group wrote to NHS Trust executives and heads of nursing and of infection control to feature the risk assessment matrix for healthcare providers.
