The Renewables Obligation Order 2009 introduced changes that require the Secretary of State to announce the level of the Obligation six months preceding an Obligation period. The Secretary of State therefore announces the size of the Obligation for the 2011/12 period on 1 October 2010. This paper sets out the methodology to be used in calculating the size of the Obligation
