This research was commissioned to evaluate the early adopters phase of the free breakfast clubs programme. It draws on surveys and interviews with parents, alongside observations in schools, to examine:
- how schools deliver free breakfast clubs
- parents’ awareness, experiences and reasons for using or not using the clubs
- perceived effects on children, family routines, employment and household finances
