The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from SRCL Limited.

This application is to vary the existing standard rules SR2008 No 24 for a healthcare waste transfer station to a bespoke permit. The operator proposes to increase the hazardous waste storage, add extra waste codes for packaging in bulk containers, and include the activity of light compaction of offensive waste.
