Details of the application

The Environment Agency has received an application to vary (change) an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Sims Group UK Limited.

The proposed variation will add a hazardous waste treatment activity to the existing permit. This is solely for the purpose of treating waste electrical items.

  • 5.3A(1) (a) (ii) use of physical processes to recover hazardous waste with a capacity exceeding 10 tonnes per day and
