Aquazoom Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Ouzel at Paper Mill Farm, Buckinghamshire at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP 89078 29250.
The application is to abstract water all year at the following rates:

5,526 cubic metres an hour

48,407,760 cubic metres a year

At an instantaneous rate not exceeding 1,535 litres per second.
The water will be used to generate hydro-electric power (HEP) before returning to the River Ouzel immediately downstream at NGR SP 89083 29264.
