Work permit applications
Work permit applications must be filed with the migration office. The application can be submitted via mail or via email migration@lu.ch. The processing time is typically 6 to 8 weeks.
If you are transferring to the Swiss branch of a UK-based company, or working a Swiss company on a Swiss employment contract, or providing services to a client in Switzerland, your employer will need to submit the application form 2 (on the Lucerne Canton website).
In addition to the required form you will need to provide copies of your:
- employment contract or assignment agreement
- passport
- CV
- relevant qualifications
