Forms and contingency plan for a premises to apply for a licence to hold an animal gathering.
The licensing process includes:
- an application form to licence a premises
- a disease control contingency plan
- an implementation plan
- an application form for re-confirmation of arrangements for a livestock show
These forms are for premises to apply for a licence to hold an animal gathering for the following:
- sale of animals
- show or exhibition
- onward consignment within Great Britain
- breed inspection
The AGO27 form should be completed for a re-occurring show to confirm the shows arrangements have not changed from the previous year.
The documents describes the schedule of conditions which the licensee must follow to comply with the Animal Gatherings Order 2010 (England and Wales).
A site plan and contingency plan must also be submitted with this application form. The plan provides instructions for staff working at an animal gathering on what they must do if there is a suspected or confirmed case of notifiable disease at the event or in the country.
Section 1 of the plan must be completed by the licensee to explain the disease management contingencies they have in place. Section 2 describes the role of the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA).
An implementation plan must be completed by each licensee and agreed with APHA to say how the licence conditions will be implemented on each licensed premises.
