You need to register for air passenger duty before you send a return. We’ll tell you when your return is due.

Before you start

If you’re submitting your own return and do not have a Government Gateway account, you can create one at the start of the online service.

Agents will need their access code and their client’s air passenger duty registration number. If you’re an agent or representative and do not have a user ID and password, you should create one using the Government Gateway.

Contact HMRC to get a paper version if you’re unable to use the online service.
