DCMS and the Department for Business Innovation & Skills (BIS) have published the findings of a jointly commissioned research project to examine whether creative industry businesses face greater difficulties accessing finance compared to SMEs in other sectors.

The research uses a mix of statistical analysis of existing survey datasets and newly conducted interviews with SMEs and finance providers.
