This report is the result of a review of data collected from numerous sources focusing on the 10-year period 1 April 2013 to 31 March 2023 inclusive.
This was the first decade of full UK national implementation of the NHS abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) population screening programmes.
The aim of the review was to determine if the AAA screening programmes in the UK for men aged 65 and over can be considered effective.
