Details

The 16 to 19 tuition fund provided additional funding for 16 to 19 institutions to deliver small group tuition in English, maths and other courses. The aim was to help students recover lost learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Implementation and process evaluation report

This report covers the academic year 2021 to 2022 and presents:

• the findings of the implementation and process evaluation
• recommendations for how the fund can be improved in future

Impact evaluation report

This report:

• presents findings from the impact evaluation of the 16 to 19 tuition fund
• assesses the extent to which the available data could be used to estimate the impact of the fund on learner attainment outcomes
• identifies lessons for the design, monitoring and evaluation of future post-16 tuition and catch-up programmes
