Details

We have published the 16 to 19 allocation calculation toolkit (ACT) guidance on this page and it will help you understand your ACT file and how we have used your data. We’ve removed the guidance and examples for academic year 2025 to 2026 and you can still access them in our national archives.

The allocation calculation toolkits are not accessible because there are tables with complex structures. This means it does not meet WCAG success criteria:

  • 1.3.2: meaningful sequence

We are currently working on an accessible version, which should be available by March 2027.

You can find your ACT file in Document exchange in the ‘Documents received from DfE’ section.

To access Document exchange, log into DfE Sign-In. If you need access, please contact one of the super-users in your organisation. If you experience any issues accessing DfE Sign-In, please contact the help desk.
