Sir Edward Garnier KC

Biography

Sir Edward Garnier was Solicitor General from May 2010 to September 2012. He was elected Conservative MP for Harborough on 9 April 1992.

Sir Edward was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, Jesus College, Oxford and the College of Law, London.

He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in April 1995, a Crown Court Recorder in 1998 and a Bencher of the Middle Temple in 2001.

He has previous served as Shadow Home Affairs Minister, Shadow Minister for Justice and Shadow Attorney General.

Sir Edward is married with 3 children.
