Veterinary Medicines Digital Service update: New digital variation application process

From 28 May 2026 applicants will benefit from a streamlined digital experience when submitting Marketing Authorisation variation applications.

What’s changing

Applicants submitting variations to existing marketing authorisations will now be using a digital form.

This change will:

Enhance your experience and intuitively guide you through your variation application
Improve accuracy of applications and reduce consequential delays during validation
Provide customised guidance on documentation required, specific to your application
Speed up the end-to-end processing of your application

The new functionality is now live.
